GMC Canyon Capability Redefines Midsize Pickup Truck Segment

2015 GMC CanyonGMC is looking to raise the bar in the midsize pickup truck segment, establishing itself as a force to be reckoned with in the truck world with the brand-new 2015 GMC Canyon. Through a combination of fuel efficiency and horsepower, the GMC Canyon leads the segment in both refinement and capabilities, turning the world’s concept of a midsize truck on its head.

“The all-new Canyon is the segment’s first premium midsize truck, delivering class-leading capabilities with the brand’s signature refinement,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC Sales and Marketing. “It’s an efficiently sized, maneuverable package for customers who want the cargo-hauling and trailering versatility of a truck without the size of a full-size pickup.”

The GMC Canyon capability doesn’t stop at the truck’s workhorse tendencies—though its maximum trailering rating of 7,000 pounds is not something you want to ignore. This pickup truck also offers the only AutoTrac automatic four-wheel-drive in its class, though those looking for a two-wheel-drive will also have that option. Customer comfort is also a key factor with the GMC truck, which comes with OnStar with 4G LTE and a standard, built-in WiFi hot spot.

The Acura NSX Returns With A Vengeance

Acura NSX

In 2006, Acura ended production on the NSX. Since then, the automaker has been setting its sights really, really high. Business Insider reports that Acura would like the next NSX to compete with the Ferrari 458. In other words, they have supercar aspirations.

Sketches of the car give it a wide stance. It looks mean and it looks extremely fast. To be able to compete with the Ferrari, it’ll have to be fast. The Ferrari does 0-60 mph in three seconds.

There has been a lot of speculation as to the powertrain capabilities of the future Acura NSX. “For years there has been rumors of a V8 or even a V10-powered NSX. But the latest rumblings from Acura indicate that the likely powertrain for the supercar will be a hybrid electric six cylinder engine.”

Enthusiasts will not have to wait too much longer. It looks like the new Acura NSX will arrive in 2016.
